We have been a household without a cat for over two years now. That's long enough!
This past Friday, Ray and I went to the Southern Arizona Humane Society, and we adopted Dakota. She's a lovely 6 year old spayed female tabby, with lots of white markings. So far, she has adapted to the house without a lick of trouble. Oh, a few minor things, for instance she wants to drink her water directly from the faucet, I caught her pussy futting her way across the mantle, she's always looking for the highest place she can jump to. But other than that, she has been the perfect lady.

what a cute lil kitty!!
Awwww! Nan, she's gorgeous! I am so happy to hear that she was adopted to a loving home and hope that everything (and everyone) works out well together!
Our cat, Kerouac, is a pure-bred Maine Coon that we adopted from a friend of ours. He will be 15 years old this year and we can't imagine our home (or our lives) without him!
Animals bring such joy, and sometimes lots of work, to a home...but it is all well worth it! :)
All My Best,

She looks right at home! Lovely kitty. Thank you for visiting our blog too!
Thanks, everyone! She really is a sweet heart! :)
Hey, Julie! Oh, I love Maine Coons. At one time many moons ago, we had a beautiful orange Maine Coon.
The reason we waited so long to get a cat, was because when we lost our dearest Eddie Haskell, who was with us for 16 years since he was a kitten, we were so broken hearted we just couldn't. But the time is right, so now we have Dakota. :)
she's lovely - I always wanted a gray female cat, but for some reason I keep ending up with orange tom-cats.
madpiano, I just went to your blog. The pic of your orange tom cat is gorgeous!! :-D
